How it works
How win chance works, and where it stops
Opptix works out a win chance by comparing a tender's requirements, size and buyer with your company profile, then showing the reasons for and against. It is an estimate of fit that helps you decide whether to bid. It cannot see competitors or predict the quality of your answer.

What goes in?
- The tender: what is being bought, the size, the place, the buyer and the deadline.
- Your profile: what you sell, where you work, the size of work you take on and what you can evidence.
What comes out?
An estimate, plus the reasons that raised or lowered it, so you can judge the logic. Example only, not a real tender: Win 32%, with strong fit on service and area, a larger contract than usual and no previous work for the buyer.
What are the limits?
- It cannot see who else is bidding.
- It cannot judge how well you will write.
- It depends on your profile being accurate and up to date.
- It is a guide to focus attention, not a forecast.
How should you use it?
Use it to decide where to look first, then read the documents and apply your own judgement. Keep your profile up to date and correct decisions you disagree with. See the bid or no bid checklist.
Why we explain it
A score you cannot question is not useful. Opptix shows the reasons so you can trust it where it is right and correct it where it is not. See tender win chance and screening.
